Position Summary:
This is a matrix leadership role responsible for the end-to-end strategic development and performance of business, including full service line P&L accountability. The incumbent will work cross-functionally including but not limited to R&D, Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to drive the business from service positioning to delivery and revenue generation. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, market insight, and the ability to influence across functions globally.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Business Line Strategy & Execution
?Define global strategy, value proposition, and development roadmap for the business line.
?Conduct continuous analysis of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify strategic opportunities.
?Translate strategy into actionable plans across the value chain and ensure alignment with company priorities.
?Establish KPIs for service line (e.g., gross margin, market share, client retention, etc.) to achieve short term and mid term service goal.
2. Cross-functional Coordination & Product Lifecycle Ownership
?Coordinate with internal stakeholders across R&D, Process Development, GMP Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain to ensure timely and successful service development and delivery.
?Implement "One Team" collaboration mechanisms to break down silos.
?Lead technology platform upgrade decisions.
?Drive portfolio prioritization and technology roadmap through cross-functional alignment and influence.
?Lead the lifecycle management of key business offerings to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
3. Market Development & Customer Engagement
?Collaborate with the commercial team to support global market expansion and strategic key account development.
?Build and maintain deep relationships with customers to understand evolving needs and translate them into product and service innovations.
?Represent the company at scientific and industry forums to strengthen brand visibility and technical leadership.
4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
?Champion innovation in process, platform development, and operational excellence to improve quality, yield, and scalability.
?Drive technical differentiation by aligning internal capabilities with market demand and regulatory expectations.
?Drive lean operation to continuously improve efficiency and cost competitiveness.
?Oversee the development and optimization of LNP formulations for mRNA delivery, ensuring high encapsulation efficiency, stability, and scalability.
?Drive innovation in LNP manufacturing processes (e.g., microfluidics, T-junction mixing) to improve yield, reproducibility, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Qualifications:
1.Master’s degree or above in Molecular Biology, Virology, Cell Biology, Gene Therapy, or related disciplines.
2.Minimum 5 years of experience in mRNA area.
3.Deep understanding of LNP formulation design, optimization, and scale-up for mRNA delivery.
4.Strong influencing and communication skills, with proven ability to lead through collaboration in a matrixed environment.
5.Familiarity with critical quality attributes (CQAs) of mRNA-LNP products (e.g., encapsulation efficiency, particle size, PDI, stability).
