Objectives:
? Responsible for Zone controller hardware development from requirements to mass production, including requirements analysis, key components evaluation and selection, Hardware architecture design, detailed electrical design, simulation and testing, circuit/thermal simulation and WCA, hardware FMEA, DV/PV verification, and mass production support.
? Responsible for zone control localization project, Conduct hardware architecture and design review for relevant suppliers, participate in performance acceptance problem analysis and solution introduction
Tasks
1. Person in Charge responsibility for China Zone controller ECU (Applicable for In-house HW development or HW tier1 development)
? Clarification of the requirements within the Mercedes-Benz organization, e.g. upper system, functional safety, software development team, projects, E/E-integration, regulation etc..
? End to end full-process experience in zone controller hardware development from requirements to mass production
? Supplier management and maturity management of the ECU and its implementation plan to ensure the development meets the overall system timeline.
? Ensure the maturity level of the ECU
2. ECU relevant documentation and committee meetings for China/localization projects
? Organizing and joining the ECU relevant committee meetings and ensure that the information are communicated also to the team (multiplier).
? Documenting of the ECU relevant information/requirements/solution timely and completely into the Mercedes-Benz tools when necessary (e.g. DOORS, EPDM, EDLS, Dialog etc.)
3. Innovation
? Monitoring of market trend and new technologies of EEA and SOA
? When necessary, create demonstrations, prototypes or Proof of Concepts to show functionality of the new technology
? Keep company technologically competitive

Qualifications:
Education
1. Master degree in electronic/eltectro-technic, computer science or similar course of studies
2. Fluent English and Chinese is mandatory; German language knowledge is an advantage
Experience
? Have full-process experience in zone controller hardware development from requirements to mass production (led 2-3 complete projects) at OEM or OEM supplier on mainstream MCU platforms, such as Infineon, NXP, Renesas, Huawei etc
? Deep understanding of the development of high-computing-power, high-safety-level domain controller hardware
Specific Knowledge
? Expert knowledge in component development for automotive industry
? Electronic Hardware Foundation
- Master automotive electronic and electrical architectures (domain-centralized, zone control architectures) and understand their impacts on hardware design;
- Proficient in high-speed circuit design (signal/power integrity simulation) and power electronic design (selection and design of power management circuits);
- Possess automotive-grade EMC/EMI design and rectification capabilities, as well as thermal design capabilities for high-performance chips;
- Familiar with automotive-grade MCUs (e.g., Infineon Aurix, NXP S32 series) and able to complete chip selection based on system requirements.
? Functional Safety & Reliability
- Proficient in the ISO 26262 functional safety standard, capable of implementing hardware-level safety mechanisms (e.g., redundant design) and failure analysis (such as FMEDA);
- Master reliability analysis methods like DFMEA and WCCA to ensure products meet automotive-grade environmental requirements of -40℃~125℃.
? System Architecture Thinking
- Able to think from the perspective of the vehicle's electronic and electrical architecture and understand the interaction logic between domain controllers and components such as sensors and actuators;
- Possess technical pre-research and route planning capabilities to define technical directions for next-generation products.
- Have supplier management capabilities to drive partners such as chip manufacturers and HW tier1 to solve problems
