Role Summary
We seek a highly motivated In Vitro Scientist or Senior Scientist to drive the design, development, and validation of in vitro assays for drug discovery programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in vitro assays including molecular biology and cellular assays, e.g. ELISA, western blot, FACS, qPCR, and mammalian cell culture. You will play a key role in advancing preclinical pipelines through rigorous in vitro data generation and mechanism exploration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, optimize, and validate in vitro assays to support target validation, lead optimization, and mechanism-of-action studies
2. Independently execute molecular & cellular assays: ELISA, Western blot, FACS, qPCR, high-content imaging
3. Maintain and utilize mammalian cell culture systems (primary and immortalized lines)
4. Analyze, interpret, and present data to cross-functional teams
5. Contribute to pre-clinical development studies and technology innovation
Required Qualifications
? Scientist: Master’s + 3+ years in Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Neuroscience or related field.
? Senior Scientist: PhD 2+/MS + 6+ years in industry/academia.
? Expertise in:
o Cell-based assay development (e.g., receptor signaling, functional phenotyping)
o Molecular biology techniques (protein/RNA detection, gene editing)
o Mammalian cell culture (primary neurons, glia, or iPSC-derived models)
? Proven ability to troubleshoot assays and analyze complex datasets
Preferred Qualifications
? Experience with CNS targets (e.g., neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration, blood-brain barrier models)
? Familiarity with automation/liquid handling systems
? Track record of contributions to preclinical drug development
