Position Overview We are seeking a seasoned Director of Supply Chain Management to lead and support end-to-end supply chain services for our overseas pharmaceutical clients. This role is critical in managing the sourcing, technical transfer, logistics coordination, and supplier qualification of chemical intermediates and raw materials. The ideal candidate is commercially savvy, technically sound, and well-connected within the chemical supply landscape, especially across China and selected international markets. Key Responsibilities · In response to RFQs/RFPs, propose competitive and commercially sound pricing strategies by leveraging market intelligence and strong supplier negotiation skills—striking the right balance between client expectations, supplier costs, profitability, and reliable, high-quality delivery. · Develop and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical clients by understanding their supply needs and delivering tailored, reliable service. · Lead supplier identification, qualification, and procurement of chemical intermediates, raw materials, and solvents—ensuring cost-effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and long-term supply continuity. · Oversee technical transfer activities and logistics planning to ensure seamless execution across the supply chain. · Plan and coordinate overseas warehousing and risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply. · Collaborate with internal functions including QA, Regulatory, BD, and Operations to align execution with strategic objectives. · Continuously assess supply chain risks, monitor market trends, and implement best practices to enhance service offerings. Qualifications · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field. · Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or chemical sourcing, supply chain, or procurement. · Deep knowledge of chemical intermediates and raw materials specific to pharmaceutical manufacturing. · Demonstrated supplier management and negotiation skills, with long-standing supplier relationships in China and abroad. · Proven expertise in logistics coordination, technical transfers, and end-to-end supply chain execution. · Strategic mindset with strong commercial judgment to support bid preparation and client proposals. · High proficiency in market intelligence gathering and analysis related to raw materials and intermediates. · Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of effectively interacting with international clients.
