Position: Senior Director of Antibody Drug Discovery
Location: China, NanJing
Report to: Head of Discovery
Job Description:
The Director of antibody drug discovery will lead a dedicated research team to conduct target evaluation, competitive landscape analysis, design drug discovery plan and supervise its execution, to ensure the timely delivery of PCC (preclinical candidate select) with substantial differentiation from benchmarks, and to lead the continued IND enabling studies if applicable. This role involves strategic planning, scientific leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration, aiming at a successful and timely delivery of best-in-class or first-in-class assets for out-licensing.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead target evaluation and competitive landscape analysis in alignment with the unmet medical needs, treatment market trendy and organizational goals.
2. Propose and design new Ab drug discovery programs, lead and drive the project execution and delivery
3. Communicate project progress, challenges, and strategic plans to senior management and stakeholders.
4. Present project progress at scientific conferences, industry meetings, and in publications, on behalf of the company
5. Foster a cross-functional and cross-department collaboration to promote technology and platform innovation

Requirements:
? Ph.D. or advanced degree in a biomedical science related field.
? Extensive (5+ yrs) research and industrial experience (Job level depends on experience) in early stage or IND enabling stage of antibody drug discovery within the biopharmaceutical industry.
? In-depth knowledge and experience in relevant fields, including but not limited to immunology, oncology, disease biology, cell and gene therapy, the discovery and engineering of antibody drugs or the extended therapeutic modalities based on antibodies (ADC, BsAb, CAR-T, etc.)
? Proven leadership with a track record of successfully lead global R&D teams to deliver drug discovery projects.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in English, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
