Job Profile
The MES Specialist plays a crucial role in driving operational efficiency and product quality by implementing and supporting advanced manufacturing solutions.
He/she collaborates in cross-functional teams to implement digital strategies that optimize production processes, improve product quality and reduce production costs in cooperation with the IT department, Process Engineering, Production and Quality Assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
1.MES System Management:
○Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the MES platform to support manufacturing operations.
○Monitor system performance, ensuring high availability and optimal functionality.
○Develop and maintain MES-related documentation, including workflows, configurations, and manuals.
2.Project Execution:
○Lead and support MES-related projects, from requirements gathering to final implementation and post-launch support.
○Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and IT, to deliver projects on time and within scope.
○Ensure alignment of MES projects with business and operational objectives.
3.Automation Integration:
○Integrate MES with automation systems, such as PLCs, SCADA, and ERP platforms, to streamline production processes.
○Work on data acquisition from shop-floor equipment and ensure seamless communication between systems.
○Optimize workflows and processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
4.Support and Troubleshooting:
○Provide ongoing technical support to end-users for MES-related issues.
○Identify and resolve system issues, minimizing impact on production operations.
○Perform root cause analysis and recommend long-term solutions to prevent recurring problems.
5.Continuous Improvement:
○Identify opportunities to enhance MES functionality and support process improvement initiatives.
○Stay updated on the latest MES technologies and trends to recommend upgrades and enhancements.
○Conduct training sessions for staff to promote effective MES usage.
Qualifications:
●Education:
○B(yǎng)achelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
○Advanced certifications in MES or manufacturing technologies are a plus.
●Experience:
○3-5 years of experience working with MES systems in a manufacturing environment.
○Strong background in IT systems, industrial automation, or production processes.
●Technical Skills:
○Proficiency in MES platforms (e.g., SAP ME/MII or DM, Siemens Opcenter, Wonderware, Rockwell FactoryTalk, etc.).
○Knowledge of HTML / JavaScript / CSS and one or more libraries or frameworks such as SAPUI5, AngularJS, NodeJS;
○Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus) is a plus.
○Experience with SQL databases and reporting tools.
○Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and their integration with MES.
