Work you'll do Our Independence and Conflicts team plays a critical role in protecting Deloitte from conflicts of interest and keeping the firm independent when providing services to audit clients and their affiliates. In your role, you’ll support the firm on the multidisciplinary model and work closely with engagement teams and partners on bringing the breadth of services that Deloitte offer while complying with the various requirements (including SEC, IESBA, and CICPA). This will include: ? Working closely with independence team members as well as partners and managers of Deloitte engagement teams. You’ll also interact with leadership, such as Lead Client Service Partners, to understand and provide guidance on a variety of independence matters, such as: ? Services to and relationships with clients ? Advising the business on the regulatory impact when developing new products and services ? Participating in policy setting including performing research and drafting communications aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of current, new, or changing independence rules ? Assisting in handling regulatory matters (including responding to consultation papers produced by external regulators) ? Performing research and analysis, preparing conclusions and communications, and strategizing on next steps in coordination with senior team members. ? Creating training courses and materials for teams to leverage to address changes or developments in independence and conflicts requirements, as well as facilitating the trainings. ? Working on special projects independently - These may include independence quality control activities, procedures/systems development or enhancement, leading or supporting client and engagement acceptance testing, cross-team projects (e.g., across Deloitte functions and with Deloitte independence teams across the globe). We are looking for someone with ? 6 years of working experience with a professional service firm including at least one year in a manager or equivalent capacity ? Bachelor’s degree (preferably accounting, finance, business, or legal) ? Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin) ? Proactive, a team player capable of prioritizing own work and handle multiple tasks ? Strong management skill ? Strong analytical skill ? Able to work independently
