Initiate and maintain a project pipeline with external partners. - Be responsible for group budget and cost. - Coaching of the team in technical skills during project execution and in development of soft skills. - Development of team members in expert and leadership career tracks. - Drive the digital transformation in the Asian R&D community, especially nurture awareness and need for action in R&D management team. Requirements: - PhD in chemistry, material physics, life science or other natural science discipline with at least 7 years professional experience in R&D and R&D management positions in industry; or Master Degree in the same disciplines with at least 10 years professional experience in R&D and R&D management positions in industry. - International experience would be a plus. - Strong and rich project experience with digital tools for R&D: modeling and simulation, data science, IT systems for laboratories. - Broad domain knowledge in research and development of chemicals, materials and chemical industrial processes, as well as knowledge in IT & AI including infrastructure and applications. - Strong skills for communication with experts and non-experts.
