Head of purchsing
Job Description:
- Conduct price negotiations with suppliers in the fields of chemical and packaging raw materials. Draft framework agreements and delivery orders.
- Develop and execute our purchasing strategy aligned with our company goals.
- Leverage procurement analytics to monitor market trends and forecast demands.
- Drive cost-efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of quality and delivery performance.
- Responsible for material planning for production in Changsha and ensure on time delivery.
- Perform supplier assessment and arrange corrective action on relevant purchasing data.
- Edit the purchasing master data (price, quantity, delivery time, etc.) in Kingdee ERP system.
- Conduct and participate in supplier audits.
- Anticipate and address potential supply chain disruptions proactively.
- Communicate with suppliers and handle complaint.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or similar discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing.
- Deep understanding of raw material purchasing.
- Knowledge of contract law.
- Knowledge of international chemical markets is a plus.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management.
- Willingness to travel (e.g. supplier visits, audits).
- Fluency in English. German knowledge is a plus.
- Proficient in word, excel, ERP and other office software.
- Modern office environment.
