About the Company:
We are an international trade and logistics group with over 17 years of experience. We provide procurement outsourcing services for industrial and commercial companies. Currently, we are scaling our global logistics division by establishing infrastructure through subsidiaries in China, India, South Africa, and the CIS countries, with the main management center in Dubai.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with strong expertise in supplier sourcing and purchasing in China and Asia. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience living and/or working in China, fluent Chinese and English, and a proven track record of negotiations with factories, supplier management, and international trade operations. The role focuses on procurement of industrial and chemical products, equipment, and spare parts, as well as supplier development across China and Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
· Search, audit, and evaluate factories and suppliers in China and Asia.
· Procurement of chemical products, raw materials, and specialized substances, including catalysts, reagents, additives, stabilizers, inhibitors, flocculants, and antiscalants.
· Conduct negotiations and finalize contracts with suppliers.
· Manage supplier relationships, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely deliveries.
· Coordinate import/export operations and logistics activities.
· Participate in international exhibitions and industry events.
· Frequent business trips across China and Asia.
Candidate Requirements:
Languages:
· Chinese – C1 (fluent written and spoken).
· English – B2+ (strong written and spoken).
Experience:
· At least 3 years of professional and/or living experience in China.
· Solid background in procurement, logistics, and international trade, preferably within the chemical sector.
· Experience in an international trading company or a corporate representative office is a strong advantage.
Professional Skills:
· Supplier sourcing and evaluation in China, with a focus on chemical manufacturers.
· Procurement and supply chain management for chemical products.
· Negotiations and contract management.
· Import/export operations for chemical goods, including knowledge of relevant regulations.
· Business development and supplier portfolio expansion.
Personal Qualities:
· Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
· Strong cross-cultural communication abilities.
· Proactivity, flexibility, and readiness for frequent business travel.
Working Conditions:
· Office-based position in Shanghai, China.
· Full-time, office-based position.
· Work schedule: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
