Performance Expectations
? The successful candidate will be capable of investigating a variety of new or tried and true technologies to create unique design solutions for existing or next generation products.
? Align with Advanced engineering to commitment risk assessment; new concept; detail design and related technical documentation.
? Design, formulate and produce complete product related changes for mule and prototype products in a continuous improvement environment. Improve warranty, ease of assembly, and expand product options for production.
? Create DFMEA and work with cross function team to provide cost competitive design solution; electrical components selection and meet project schedule requirements.
? Create electrical schematic, wiring diagram and related electrical components routing drawings.
? Maintain thorough documentation for all aspects of assigned projects.
? Contact and interact with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to investigate technologies and their applications.
? Monitor the development of new technologies and upcoming suppliers.
? Build relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to enable development with new technologies.
? Design and tuning prototypes. Employ data collection, analysis techniques, and optimization to achieve target performance.
? Troubleshooting of electrical and control system.
? Provide support in checking details, assemblies, and BOMS for assigned projects.
? Create Design engineering change which is including EPO/ECO/DEV etc.
? Apply a wide variety of established or modified engineering methods or techniques with considerable independence of action.
? Other duties as assigned.
Credentials
? Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering.
? Preference will be given to candidates registered as a Professional Engineer in China.
? Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Designer or Electrical Design Engineer in a auto-mobile/heavy equipment (or related) manufacturing environment.
? Demonstrated knowledge of general electrical skills, DFMEA. Specialized skills in circuit principal design, motor control, and control system analysis.
? Familiar with electrical schematic and various electrical software and CAN bus
? Familiar with design & test standards and selection of electrical components.
? Design experience with SolidWorks (with formal training preferred); experience with AutoCad or DraftSight desirable.
? Exceptional critical thinking skills and must be capable of thinking outside of the box.
? Exceptional research, hands on data collection, and data analysis skills.
? Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
