Position Summary:
This role is responsible for identifying and developing opportunities and projects in China for nitrogen plants, oxygen plants, or small ASUs in alignment with the business development strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
● Effectively lead project teams or cross-functional teams to ensure growth.
● Identify new opportunities in different industrial segments at an early stage by engaging customers, industrial parks, regional business units, and R&D and application teams.
● Collaborate with customers to develop solutions and establish business partnerships.
● Develop proposals and align across functions, including stakeholders, engineering, regional business units, operations, finance, legal, etc., to secure growth opportunities.
● Lead negotiations for projects until contract signing, including MOUs, LOIs, joint ventures, etc.
● Develop and present business cases to the Investment Committee for approval.
● Lead the entire project team, including Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, etc., to execute the project within budget, on schedule, and with expected returns.
● Conduct monthly external reviews with customers and internal reviews to manage scope changes and risks.
● Transfer the plant to the regional business unit for daily operations and management.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
● Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemical.
● MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification from a premier business school is a plus.
● 7+ years of professional Business Development experience in the industrial gas, chemical, oil & gas, or engineering industry.
● 5+ years of professional experience in an equivalent position with commercial/sales experience.
● Proven track record of managing customer relationships effectively.
● Proven track record of result-driven sales experience.
● Deep understanding of different industries, competitive dynamics, technical solutions, and commercial negotiations.
● Strategic thinking, economic analysis, and strong proposal and presentation skills.
● Strong curiosity for self-learning, developing solutions, and delivering excellent results.
● Proficiency in English.
