The Merchandiser provides sourcing and administrative support in new
product developing, sampling, quality auditing and shipping of
products.Manage sourcing office administration and order management.
Responsibilities:
1.Action sourcing for category business plans
2.Obtain quotes comparing costs from various vendors
3.Organise buying trips in conjunction with suppliers in planning itineraries for buyer’s trips
4.Source new suppliers for sourcing manager to review
5.Knowledge of mandatory standards for categories within your portfolio
6.Manage despatching and receiving of samples;Review all product samples & packaging for sourcing managers
7.In-line and final production inspection when required
8.Assist sourcing manager with price negotiations
9.Assist sourcing manager in obtaining new products from vendors
10.Liaise
with suppliers to confirm status of deliveries and communicate any
variance to delivery dates to the sourcing manger and buying team
11.Data
enter information required to register new vendors/products into the
SAP system, create purchase orders in SAP adhering to the critical time
path or business rules
12.Work on new developments in details with supervision under Sourcing Manager
13.Support ad hoc assignments and projects if necessary.
14Develop and mentor Assistant Merchandiser
Qualification:
1.College degree and above
2.At least 5 years’ experience in related area
3.Fluent English with both verbal and written
4.Solid Sourcing and negotiating ability
5.Hands-on computer knowledge in MS word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, SAP
6.Good communication skill and know how to deal with different personalities
7.Organizing and good time-managing skills
8.Sets good example for collaborating with others
9.Demonstrate a high sense of initiative, hardworking and responsible
