Business Development Manager
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead and drive new revenue streams for the Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing and nurturing strategic business opportunities to drive revenue growth. This role involves market research, relationship building, and developing actionable strategies to enter new markets, expand customer bases, and increase brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
80Strategic Planning:
oDevelop and implement strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
oSet short-term and long-term goals aligned with company objectives.
oPartake in developing and improving on value propositions.
80Market Research and Analysis:
oConduct market research to identify trends, customer demands, and potential areas for growth.
oAnalyze competitors to position the company effectively in the market.
80Relationship Building:
oEstablish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
oNetwork with key stakeholders, industry leaders, and potential partners.
80Sales and Revenue Growth:
oGenerate leads, prepare proposals, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
oCollaborate with the sales team to transition prospects into long-term customers and sales uplift.
80Cross-Functional Collaboration:
oWork with marketing teams to create campaigns that support business development efforts.
oPartner with product and operations teams to tailor offerings to customer needs.
80Performance Tracking and Reporting:
oMaintain detailed records of business development activities.
oProvide regular reports on progress, forecasts, and challenges to senior management.
80Continuous Improvement:
oIdentify gaps in current processes and suggest improvements.
oStay updated with industry trends, innovations, and best practices.
oPresentation and meeting hosting requirements.

Qualifications:
80Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
80Minimum of 4-6 years working experience in a sales (FMCG & trade finance related) role.
80Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role (with a list of potential customers preferred)
80Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscapes.
80Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
80Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
