James Durrans (Tianjin) Coatings Co., Ltd. is established by James Durrans Group in Binhai New Area Tianjin in December 2003, covering an area of 8,500 m2 and employing 30 staff. It is a professional foundry coating manufacturer, and mainly serves domestic customers of automobile engine and parts, centrifugal casting pipe, wind power equipment and machine tool equipment, and exports to Asia and South America.
Job Description
Due to the ongoing expansion of our Technical Department, we are looking to recruit a Research and Development Technician at our Tianjin site to become part of a team working on the formulation and development of a wide range of coating products. The role will primarily involve working on our diverse portfolio of formulated refractory coatings.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing technical department in a dynamic and future-oriented working environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in new product development and progressing project work, as well as carrying out new material testing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop formulations for the refractory coating.
· Manage new product development from concept through to product launch
· Attend customer trials and provide technical support
· Work closely with QC and Operations to oversee manufacture of new developments and solve any issues on plant
· Report work in a timely and accurate manner
· Remain up to date with current developments in the market
· Domestic travel, including customer technical visits, trials, and conference attendance
Key Requirements
· Degree in Chemistry or related discipline
· Knowledge of refractory coatings/materials preferred but not essential
· Good IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
· Excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to prioritise workload and deadlines
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
· Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with both internal and external individuals at all levels
· Excellent English skills to communicate with Europe tech. team
· Compliant with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
