/ Junior Project Manager – Art Production & Fabrication
Location: Qidong, Jiangsu Province
Company description: European fine art production company with headquarters in Switzerland and fabrication workshops in China
We are a leading art production company working with internationally renowned artists to produce and install large-scale sculpture and public artworks. We’re currently seeking a hands-on, adaptable Project Manager or Junior Project Manager to join our small and dedicated team in Qidong, Jiangsu.
Work Location & Conditions
- This is a full-time, on-site role based in Qidong, Jiangsu Province, Monday to Friday
- Accommodation and lunch provided by the company
- Weekly transport to and from Shanghai can be arranged
- Some flexibility is possible, but regular on-site presence is essential for managing production workflows
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in production — ideally from sculpture fabrication, artist studios, foundries, commercial art installations, printing,, set design or similar
- A hands-on, problem-solving mindset: every artwork is a one-off, and you will need to think creatively to adapt and resolve design and production challenges
- Confidence managing timelines, suppliers, workshops, and installations
- Working-level proficiency in both Chinese and English (spoken and written)
- Basic technical literacy: able to read drawings, cost production steps, and communicate with fabricators
- Bonus if you can sketch or model ideas digitally (e.g. Rhino, CAD), or use design tools such as Photoshop or InDesign
- A proactive, flexible, and self-starting attitude

What You’ll Do
- Manage and follow projects from initial planning to final delivery, including sample production, fabrication, quality control, crating, and logistics
- Coordinate internal teams and external suppliers to keep production on track
- Cost materials, design simple structures (e.g. crates), and assist with packing and shipping logistics
- Research materials, fabrication methods, and supplier options
- Support artwork installations both in China and internationally as needed
