Role Summary:
The China Sourcing Analyst manages data and conducts in-depth data analysis using a cross functional knowledge of: chemistry, sourcing, supply chain, and operations to identify areas of financial opportunity. This role shall provide data and insight that ensures the successful execution of China sourcing initiatives. Supports China sourcing team in management and execution of sourcing, purchasing, and operational activity to help maximize gross margin opportunities specific to successful Sourcing efforts.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Market prices monitoring – chemicals, Commodities etc.
2. Data Analysis (pricing, supply demand etc.) from various subscriptions (like index reports, customs reports etc.)
3. Access SAP internal reports and create dashboards; needs excel expertise.
4. Benchmarking, creating value add sourcing inputs, create Reports , share with internal Sourcing & regional sales teams, help them making better decisions.
5. Study of various chemistries, manufacturing process & costs etc.
6. Identify various chemical manufactures in Chinese market, maintain relationships.
7. Work on need-based special projects in China. (like developing new sources)
8. Participate In various meeting with internal regions, help in translations if needed.
9. Other assignments from the superior.
Qualification/Experience Requirement:
1. Bachelor or Master’s degree in chemistry, agriculture, market analysis or any relevant majors
2. 4-5 years of experience of a similar role and work scope
3. Mut be a self-initiative, self-motivated, learning enthusiastic, passionate candidate
4. Ability to analyze quantitative & qualitative data to develop reports for sourcing
5. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Mandarin .
6. Excellent computer skills in MS Office, including PPT
7. Strong communication, interpersonal and consultant-type skills in managing stakeholders, cultural dynamics & effectively interfacing with multiple levels within the organization.
8. Must have ability to go in details, prioritize & work in team of fast-paced environment, be highly adaptable to change, deal with ambiguity; stay organized, and to deliver quality deliverables .
