Freelance International Cuisine Chef (Part-Time) for Primary School Theme Days
We are seeking passionate and creative freelance chefs with expertise in international cuisines to join our vibrant school community. Once a month, you will be invited to design and lead a special "Global Flavor Day" for our primary students. This role is ideal for culinary professionals who enjoy sharing their culture through food and inspiring young minds.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, prepare, and serve a safe, nutritious, and engaging international menu suitable for primary-aged children.
· Coordinate with the school kitchen staff and adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
· Interact warmly with students during the dining experience, sharing fun facts about the cuisine’s origin, ingredients, and cultural significance.
· Adapt recipes to accommodate common allergies and dietary restrictions.
· Provide a brief, child-friendly introduction or demonstration related to the dish of the day.
Requirements:
· Professional cooking experience, with a focus on a specific regional or national cuisine (e.g., Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Lebanese, Indian, etc.).
· Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages are a plus.
· Comfortable working with children in an educational setting.
· Flexible, reliable, and passionate about food education.
· Valid food handling certification (or willingness to obtain one).
