"- To ensure the smooth and efficient execution of powertrain testing (e.g.: engine, vehicle, and special testing) by providing expert information collection, communication and troubleshooting to identify root causes, resolve issues, and facilitate continuous improvement in product development.
- This role assists the testing team (e.g., maintaining testing integrity, minimizing downtime, ensuring accurate data collection for engineering decisions) by gathering and analyzing data, identifying potential root causes, proposing solutions, and ensuring that final decisions and corrective actions are aligned with internal engineering standards and processes."
Qualifications
"- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- More than 3x years of experience in a technical role involving test support, troubleshooting, and data analysis within the automotive industry.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and interpreting complex engine/vehicle test data.
- Basic knowledge of engine and vehicle testing procedures, diagnostic tools (e.g.: INCA, Monaco), and automotive systems.
- Practical experience with issue management and data systems, such as NextVA, Finas and GTRS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., BTVs, Testing Coordinators, suppliers).
- Strong self-management skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to drive issues to closure."
"Test Data Analysis
>> Collect and categorize test data from various tests (e.g., engine, vehicle, NVH).
>> Notify relevant Testing Coordinators and BTVs of any identified hardware failures or component related concerns.
>> Analyze test data in collaboration with Testing Coordinators and BTVs to identify anomalies and potential issues.
Unit: testing sample"
"Test Issue Diagnosis
>> Assist in conducting thorough root cause investigations utilizing diagnostic tools and methodologies.
>> File and document issues by creating complaints in Finas, uploading detailed concern reports complete with supporting data and observations.
>> Collaborate with Testing Coordinators and BTVs to discuss findings, propose solutions, and determine appropriate next steps for issue resolution.
Unit: testing sample"
"Parts Analysis & Solution Management
>> Create and maintain disassembly records in GTRS, ensuring all testing sample information and history are accurately documented.
>> Support BTVs in the inspection of disassembled parts by performing tasks such as photography, taking measurements (e.g., torque, geometry), and documenting findings; follow up with suppliers or headquarters to facilitate further analysis.
>> Track and monitor all open findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented and properly documented, driving issues to full closure.
