Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage
and monitor purchase orders issued to suppliers, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company requirements. - Coordinate
with suppliers to track order status, confirm production schedules, and ensure on-time delivery. - Oversee
supplier shipments, including scheduling, documentation, and compliance with shipping standards. - Coordinate
with customers, forwarders and suppliers to arrange shipments. - Communicate
regularly with suppliers to resolve issues related to delays, quality, or order discrepancies. - Collaborate
with internal teams, such as procurement, planning, and warehousing, to ensure seamless order fulfillment. - Maintain
accurate records of orders, shipments, and supplier communications. - Implement
and follow up on corrective actions for shipment or order-related
problems. - Ensure
compliance with company policies and industry regulations for logistics and supply chain activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s
degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. - 8+
years of experience in international logistics, cross-border
shipments, order management, supplier and forwarder coordination. - Strong
understanding of order and shipment processes, including documentation and compliance. - Excellent
communication and negotiation skills for effective supplier management. - Proficiency
in logistics software, ERP systems (SAP preferred). - Ability
to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. - Strong
problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge
of Incoterms and customs procedures. - Fluent
in English, with good written and communication skills.
Availability:
Available to work on site
as required by job; Be able to travel domestically and internationally several times a year up to one week’s duration.
