Homeroom Teachers (Co-T) Responsibilities
Develop curriculum and lesson plans,and present those lessons to their students,individually or in groups.They track the progress of their students and create reports to inform parents about their progress.Teachers are responsible for maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment in order to
optimize student capabilities and develop their well being and character as
well.
· Develop curriculum to meet
developmental goals and instructional activities.
· Prepare lesson materials,grade papers,manage the classroom,and evaluate and give feedback to students
· Exercise open and respectful communication with families,SCL team, coordinators,and other school staff
· Measureprogress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements ona regular basis and provide progress reports as required
· Create and keep records on attendance,accidents,incidents,and other
noteworthy events in accordance with licensing guidelines and program policies
· Attend conferences and workshops in order to further advance professional development
· Manage student behavior in accordance with outlined guidelines
· Provide a safe,thriving,and respectful
environment for all students in the classroom and on the school campus

Student Learning Support
· Support and monitor
student achievements and progress within class through regular reviewing and
setting of targets that enable each student to develop the students' potential.
· Ensure that teaching and learning activities are coherent within,and across year levels.
· Create a conducive learning environment that promotes learning. ·Work
supportively with SCL and school
promotion.
· Manage student learning in accordance with curriculum policies of the school.
· Planclassroom year level curriculum having regard for the differing learning stylesand abilities of students.
· Activelypursue opportunities for interested students to engage in activities outsidethe classroom to enrich their range of experiences.
· Demonstrateflexibility and responsiveness in meeting the needs of a diverse multiculturalcommunity.
Student Support andSchool Ethos
· Encouragean atmosphere within the school that places responsibility on the student.
· Demonstrateand model positive behaviours having regard for the principles that underpinthe philosophy and objectives of School.
· Makestudent know and understand the Foundation’s philosophy, objectives andmission.
· Leadstudents by example with regard to discipline and care in a manner that eachstudent feels valued.
· Developrelationships with individual students so that all students feel able to raiseconcerns with you.
· Organiseand participate in excursions, camps and other events as required for the yearlevel.
Student Performance
· Inform parents of their child’s progress inparent interview.
· Assess,record and report the progress of achievement of students in accor dance withthe school policies for year level/s taught.
· Participate in moderation or assessment discussions in relation to
standards of achievement.
· Contributeto a school working group.
· Encouragestudents to aim for high levels of achievement in studies, activities, and inlife.
· Communicatewith parents to help with some inquiries in time.
· Anyother duties which may, from time to time, reasonably be required with in thegeneral level of responsibility of the post.
崗位要求Qualifications
· At least 2 – 5 years relevant professional teaching experience in
early childhood;
· The candidate should hold a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Early
Childhood or Education or equivalent;
· which is obtained from a recognised University or College involving
not less than 3 years full time study;
· Teachers Certificates, Diplomas or other Teacher Accreditation courses
and certification are required if the applicant’s degree is not in Education;
· IB PYP course and training are highly valued;
· Knowledge of or willingness to acquire knowledge of inquiry based
learning is required;
· Applicants must provide original copies of their Certificates and
academic transcripts for authentication;
· International experience, especially in Asia is highly regarded.
