About the role:
This role is responsible for developing and implementing a business development strategy for life & health reinsurance partnerships in the North Asia & Greater China (NAC) region, and in line with the organisation’s overall vision. Responsible for all activities related to growing profitable revenue and managing client and reinsurance broker relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
As Sr. manager on partnership management, the jobholder will have the objective of developing new primary insurance and reinsurance opportunities and maintain the existing partners in the region. They will be supported by local teams and HQ in AXA Tianping & AXA Life and Health Reinsurance Solutions Pte. Ltd. (ALHRS) Singapore, as well as by the global community of Partnership Development managers. It is expected that as the portfolio grows, the jobholder will be given the responsibility of expanding their team accordingly.
? Source new health primary insurance and reinsurance revenue opportunities throughout the NAC region
? Manage relationships with existing AXA and non-AXA clients by regular review calls, governance meetings etc)
? Prepare NAC market studies with Product proposals to present potential business cases (support by Underwriting & Proposition department)
? Manage and develop broker relationships throughout NAC
? Regular review calls and meetings with Clients & internal teams
? Work closely with Underwriting & Proposition on new products/business cases
? Provide support and training to internal AXA teams and external clients
? Assist MD’s daily administrative work
? Contribute to company-wide, COR and profit target
Requirements:
? At least 3 years experience in health business, in finance or (re)insurance industry – client management experience in health reinsurance preferred
? Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
? Able to work with all levels
? Able to perform under trying conditions
? Highly numerate with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
? Highly developed complex negotiation skills
? Broad and deep commercial awareness and strategic understanding
? Flexible approach to changing priorities
? Good initiative and a self-starter
? Broad understanding of technical techniques and an ability to acquire new skills and knowledge, combined with an ability to apply these to new situations and business opportunities
? Ability to balance the focus between technical accuracy and business requirements
? Ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders, including other AXA entities in matrix management arrangements and external parties (eg. reinsurers, brokers and MGA partners)
? Clear and concise communication skills to liaise with non-technical colleagues at all levels
? Well-developed sales and presentation skills to support sales activities / presentations with clients and reinsurance brokers
