Key responsibilities:
● Building and maintaining customer partnership to satisfy customer by providing better engineering service and competitive product
● Strong business sense on new business opportunity and highly influence at customer side
● Accurately capture customer requirements & vehicle / engine roadmap for ATS roadmap
● Lead trouble shooting on both internal and customer test failure and warranty issue
● Make D&D cost quotation and manage new programs development and coordinates activities with customers, within the department and cross-functionally to meet milestone dates.
● Perform product integration analysis to achieve optimal system design in terms of function and cost.
● Strong implementation of VA/VE & modular design & ultra lean design to improve cost competitiveness
● Generate new ideas regarding improvements, new applications and inventions, support and recognize patentable concepts/designs.
● Mange the APQP, lessons learned, DFMEA, and their links to DVP&R, and Action log.
● Prepare and present technical data for customer communications and influence.
● Manage product development of sub-suppliers to fit exhaust system durability/NVH performance
Qualifications/ certifications:
● Bachelor’s degree from mechanical, automobile or engine, master’s degree a plus
● Min 5~7 years’ experience in automobile industry, experience in exhaust system and emission after-treatment system technical or projects work is preferred
● Preferably automotive engineering.
● Capable to perform effective communication with different people with different needs
● Ability to operate at least one 3D modeling software with simple function
● Know CAE / FEA / Durability tests and why / when these tools are needed and effective
● Good skills on office tools (Word, Excel, PPT & Project).
● Broad experiences in automotive product development process (APQP) and program management.
● Broad experiences on problem-solving tools, like DOE, GD&T, etc.
● Ability to travel to suppliers, plants, and customer locations to support development requirements.
● Good written and verbal communication skills in English is a plus
● Exhaust manufacturing experience and knowledge of lean enterprising principles a plus
● Preferable to have human resource in customer side
