Primary role objective:
Responsible for leading the design and development of electrical and ELV systems for high-performance buildings in the life sciences sector — including laboratories, pharmaceutical facilities, and R&D environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, and project managers to ensure that electrical designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to the following.
- Design and develop electrical systems and components tailored to the specialized needs of the project.
- Develop comprehensive electrical design packages: schematics, single-line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, and layout drawings.
- Prepare and present technical documentation, design reports, and risk assessments for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and value engineering workshops.
- Prepare and write technical specifications. Select appropriate electrical equipment and materials.
- Specify electrical equipment and materials that meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, GB, GMP, ISO). Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct simulations and performance analysis to validate system reliability, energy efficiency, and operational safety.
- Coordinate closely with architectural, mechanical, and process engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Support construction teams during installation, commissioning, and validation phases, resolving design-related issues in real time.
- Drive continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned, emerging technologies, and sustainable design strategies.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining high standards of quality,
timeliness, and client satisfaction.
